Identity Theft, three part workshop

On November 3rd, 10th and 17th, Village Park Enrichment Center at Banta will host a three part series for seniors on protecting themselves from identity theft, scams and internet predators. Michelle Mayer from the Indiana Attorney General’s Office will provide important information on the how to spot a scam, what to do if you have been scammed and what you can do to protect yourself.

This free workshop is funded by Northwest Indiana Community Action. A free boxed lunch will be provided. Seating is limited and reservations are required.

All workshops begin at 11:00 a.m. Week one’s topic is identity theft, week two will be consumer fraud, and the final workshop will cover telemarketing and junk mail scams.
