Winter Lights Night, the biggest and best winter festival in Northwest Indiana, is set to take place from 3-7 p.m. Nov. 19. at Sunset Hill Farm County Park. We are incredibly proud of this event at Porter County Parks and Recreation, and we know how much the community loves this one-of-a-kind extravaganza every year.

Last year, we welcomed more than 5,000 people to this event, and our entire staff is working hard to make sure even more visitors enjoy what we have to offer.

The centerpiece of Winter Lights Night is, of course, the beautiful and unique light displays that illuminate the park and put people in the holiday spirit. But it is really just the tip of the iceberg. We will also offer a jaw-dropping fireworks show, the chance for kids to meet Santa, crafts and games, an art show, live music and some exciting surprises along the way.

We pride ourselves on making this the most fun and most affordable family event of the holiday season in Northwest Indiana. The cost is $5 per car.

We also have several sponsorship packages and volunteer opportunities available for those who want to get involved in preparing the event. Contact Marketing and Events Coordinator Marie Foster at 219-465-3586 or e-mail her at mfoster@porterco.org for more information.
