The Chesterton Art Center is exhibiting the works of the Northwest Indiana Rug Hookers during the month of February. Members of the group include area residents Barbara Coulter, Sandi Church, Kathy Bryant, Jill Hicks, Marian Sykes, Judy Lanoue, and Deanna Bergslein.

Included in the show are wall hangings, pillows and footstool coverings, among other items. Designs range from floral to whimsical animals and street scenes. This group does primitive rug hooking, using wool fabric which is cut into strips and then hooked into a backing material. The artist designs on the backing material and the fabric strips are hooked in by color to form the design. Some artists dye their wool fabric to get just the colors they want, and many use fabric that is already dyed, or that is actually cut from an existing garment.  The designs are usually simple outlines, sometimes even childlike, with little attention to scale or perspective.  Many rugs hooked today are adaptations of the early patterns and each artist adds her own twist to the design, a personal signature.

The origin of rug hooking dates back as far as the fifth century in Egypt.  order online at usa pharmacy. buy . fluoxetine is used for treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder (pmdd), a severe form of premenstrual fluoxetine affects chemicals in the brain that can cause depression, panic, anxiety, generic name what is the most important information i should know about fluoxetine : do not he looks so dashing in his coat! like .
