Join the Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce for a “Cloud Computing” Sunrise Seminar on Thursday, May 3, 9 a.m. at Riley’s Railhouse. The event is free, open to the public and will feature breakfast by Dunkin’ Donuts.

Chamber member Joseph Grossbauer of GGNet.Net will present the program, “Learn to Use Cloud Computing: Save Time and Money for Your Business.”  He will share his insights to help demystify cloud computing as well as how to utilize this new technology to strengthen organizational processes and profits.

Japanese Spring Festival features lunch, performances

Valparaiso University’s Japanese Spring Festival will be held on Saturday, May 5, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Harre Union ballrooms B and C.

Performances at the festival will include karate, Japanese sword dancing and Japanese music.  Lunch features tempura, sushi, ramen, sweet mocha and Japanese rock candy.  The festival is sponsored by the Valparaiso University Chinese and Japanese Studies Program and the Japanese Club.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $5 and are available at the Harre Union information desk, 219-464-5415, and online at union.universitytickets.com

Charity performance of “Oklahoma”

Join the Hobart Chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority for an evening of entertainment and charity on Thursday, May 31 at a special performance of “Oklahoma”.

The Memorial Opera House, 104 Indiana St., Valparaiso has donated all tickets for the 8 p.m. performance to benefit Phi Beta Psi supported charities, including the food pantry, scholarships, cancer research and various community projects.
