The Garden for Others will grow on city property in the 100 block of west Chicago Street, with100 percent of the food it produces donated to Valparaiso families in need.

“We’re excited to grow an idea like the Garden for Others as a great way to provide healthy foods for local families,” said Mayor Jon Costas. “Working together with other nonprofit organizations and clubs, we’re optimistic that we can turn a few seeds, a few square feet of green space and a few hours of time into a harvest to help others,” he said.
