International Homeless Animals Day Saturday, Aug. 18

In order to shed light on a growing global tragedy, the Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry, LakeShore Paws and CPR Fund Rescue and Adoption are hosting an awareness day for homeless animals on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Countryside Park in Portage.

International Homeless Animals’ Day was initiated by the International Society for Animal Rights 21 years ago. Its purpose is to shed light on the tragedy of pet overpopulation and the urgent need for affordable spay/neuter programs to help save the lives of animals.
