Woodrow Wilcox Publishes Book
Chronicle columnist Woodrow Wilcox has saved senior citizens over one million dollars by correcting medical bill errors that were caused by mistakes in the Medicare system. Now, his book on that subject has been published.
“Solving Medicare Problems: An Introduction for Beginners” explains problems and finding solutions with Medicare-related medical bill problems. Portions of the book can be read for free at .
Wilcox is the senior medical bill case worker at Senior Care Insurance Services in Merrillville. He has helped senior citizen clients of that firm for almost a decade. His column, SOS—Speaking of Seniors, appears the first Wednesday of every month in The Chronicle.
Wilcox believes that Medicare related medical bill mistakes that are not corrected cost senior citizens throughout America over one billion dollars per year in wrongful medical bill charges that seniors pay because no one helps them to correct the errors.
“I hope that my book will inspire others around the country to learn about the problem and start helping senior citizens everywhere,” Wilcox said.
Something that a friend from Indianapolis said challenged Wilcox to start writing a book to teach others what he does to help seniors to correct mistakes in the Medicare system and save senior citizens money. Another friend who worked at the National Religious Broadcasters satellite channel in Nashville encouraged him to write it so that church leaders could learn how to help senior citizens in their churches and communities.
