Lisa HoppPurdue University Calumet nursing professor and Valparaiso resident Lisa Hopp has been inducted into the prestigious American Academy of Nursing. The induction invitation of Hopp to become a Fellow of the Academy is in recognition of her record of scholarship and leadership relating to evidence based nursing practice, according to Purdue Calumet Dean of the School of Nursing Peggy Gerard.

The 1,800 Fellows of the Academy are considered among the most accomplished leaders in nursing-related education, management, practice and research. They serve the public and nursing profession by advancing health policy and practice. Hopp holds baccalaureate degrees from Grinnell (Iowa) College and Rush (III.) University and a master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
