Rundle named director of quality, patient safety and satisfaction

Sharon Rundle, RN, has been named the new director of quality, patient safety and satisfaction for Indiana University Health La Porte and Starke hospitals.

In her new role, Rundle will oversee the departments, including infection control, for both hospitals. In addition, she will oversee the cancer registry program as well as handle nurse coordination, education and research programs affiliated with Michiana Hematology Oncology in Westville.

Rundle has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare field, the majority of her career at Community Hospital in Munster.  Since 2011, Rundle has served as director of quality and safety at IU Health Starke Hospital.

Rundle received her Associate in Nursing from Purdue University, her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and her Master of Arts in Organizational Management and Organizational Leadership from Ashford University, Iowa. She is also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. Rundle lives in Valparaiso and has four sons, Gordon, Wesley, Patrick and James Rundle.
