Artists sought for festival

There’s still time to apply as a live street artist or vendor for the Third Annual Frontline Foundations Hooked on Art Live Street Art Festival to be held Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Chesterton.

The Popcorn Panic 5k walk/ 5 mile run, the race that traditionally marks the beginning of the Popcorn Fest, takes place Saturday, Sept. 6 at Valparaiso’s Central Park Plaza.  Start time is 7:30 a.m. for those ages 10 and over.  Price is $35 per person.

Also, Lit’l Kernel Puff registration is underway. Kids aged 2 to 9 years old can run for fun in age group heats; distances vary from 100 to 300 yards.  Start time is 8:45 a.m.  Everyone who runs receives a participation ribbon.  Register early as space is limited to 675 kids.  Price is $20 per person.
