Valparaiso Low Vision Support Group September meetings

–Tuesday, Sept. 9, 6 to 7:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 103 N. Franklin, Valparaiso.  Speaker will be Douglas A. Zale, M.D., Ophthalmologist, Zale Eye Center in Chesterton.  Topic will be current information about the human eye.  Bring your questions.

–Tuesday, Sept. 23, 10 to 11 a.m., Pines Village Retirement Communities, Celebration Room, First Floor, 3303 Pines Village Circle (building behind Whispering Pines Health Care Center), Valparaiso.  Moderator will be Verne R. Sanford.  Topic will be eye diseases and conditions and how to live with them.

We welcome all persons at our meetings, whether or not they have low vision.  Within Porter County and during daylight hours, call the Porter County Aging & Community Services bus at 219-462-4302 for a free door-to-door ride for the legally blind, or 50 cents each way for seniors, $1 each way for others.  Phone a week or two ahead.
