Aboard the Pumpkin Trains in October enjoy a leisurely trip through the rural northwest Indiana countryside and across the Kankakee River at English Lake.  Upon returning to the North Judson area, the train will travel to the HVRM pumpkin patch where everyone may choose and purchase a pumpkin for just $1.75 before returning to the depot.

These trains have sold out in the past, so make sure you get your tickets early.

The Fall Harvest Trains, Sept. 27 and Oct. 11, will cross the Kankakee River and continue on through the rural farm country and along wooded areas to LaCrosse, and then return to the depot.

These 10-mile and 20-mile round-trip excursions are great way to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Take your choice of riding in a vintage caboose, on an open-air car or in a coach.  All seating is first-come so arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

The Halloween Train on Oct. 25 heads off on a three-hour trip to LaCrosse at 4 p.m. and includes a “Not So Scary, Scary Animal Show.”  This train will return to the museum after sunset, so dress warmly.  Dress in costume or come as you are.

Reservations are also being taken for Santa Trains on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13.

The museum is always free but there are fees for the train rides.  HVRM is open Saturdays, all year-round, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Reservations for train rides may be made online at www.hoosiervalley.org or by calling the depot at 574-896-3950 on Saturdays The analysis found that the proposed changes would generally reduce the percentage of students identified as white or black, while dramatically increasing the percent of students identified as hispanic, both nationally and in www.writemyessay4me.org/ many states
