Local ballroom dance studio Dimensions School of Social Dance recently won national recognition when one of its students, Chesterton resident Marty Marciniak, won the Top Male Bronze Student Trophy at the Chicago Harvest Moon Ball Championship.
This national dance competition is one of the oldest in the country, celebrating its 51st anniversary in Chicago this year. Professional and amateur dancers from across the country participate in this prestigious event.
Marciniak competed in 10 styles of dance at the Harvest Moon Championship, including East and West Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Cha Cha and Hustle.
