Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County announces newest member to the organization’s Administrative Team, Vanessa Blossom as Director of Human Resources

Ryan Smiley, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County announces newest member to the organization’s Administrative Team, Vanessa Blossom as Director of Human Resources.

Vanessa Blossom is a graduate of Purdue University North Central with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management. Her previous work experience includes social service administration as well as human resource responsibilities with Workforce Development Services. Within the many facets of Human Resource Management, Vanessa particularly enjoys employee relations and staff development.

Vanessa is no stranger to the Boys & Girls Clubs, as a lifelong resident of Valparaiso – her three children Vega, Xavier, and Celestia have been involved as Club members since 2006. Additionally, Vanessa coached one of the Club’s U8 girls’ soccer teams during league season. Her volunteer experience also extends past Club walls as she is involved with the Kibble Kitchen pantry as well.

“I am thrilled to serve Club team in a human resources capacity,” states Vanessa. “Staff members who interact with our youth have real opportunity to be role models and leaders for our youth. As the Human Resources Director, I have an opportunity to support and develop staff for the betterment of our Clubs.”

In addition to her three fabulous children, Vanessa also lives with her longtime partner, David, and her two beloved dogs and one cat.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County was founded in 1971 in Valparaiso, IN. Currently Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County operates four Club units in Valparaiso, Portage, South Haven, and Chesterton; manages a Club operation in Culver, IN; and operates Kidstop sites nine school locations.
