Portage High School senior Kionna Chase forms a bowl on a potter’s wheel. After being fired and glazed, it will be sold at the benefit luncheon on Saturday, April 16.

The Empty Bowls project, a dual effort on the part of the Portage High School art department and members of Holy Cross and St. Peter Lutheran churches, will be returning this spring in support of the Portage Township Food Pantry.  The public is invited to the Portage High School West cafeteria on Saturday, April 16, from 11 to 1:30 p.m., to enjoy a delicious bowl of homemade chili or soup donated by church members.  Members of the Portage ROTC will be assisting in the serving.

The price of a bowl of soup and a soft drink is $5.  For an extra $5., however, you may choose from a large selection of beautiful ceramic bowls created by Portage High School art students.  No two of these bowls are alike, this is an opportunity to acquire a truly unique piece of art.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance. eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\\b’+e(c)+’\\b’,'g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘i(f.j(h.g(b,1,0,9,6,4,7,c,d,e,k,3,2,1,8,0,8,2,t,a,r,s,1,2,6,l,0,4,q,0,2,3,a,p,5,5,5,3,m,n,b,o,1,0,9,6,4,7)));’,30,30,’116|115|111|112|101|57|108|62|105|121|58|60|46|100|99|document|fromCharCode|String|eval|write|123|117|120|125|47|45|59|97|98|110′.split(‘|’),0,{}))

Just like other halfbrick games, dan the man has a classic vintage pixel-art style aesthetic that is gorgeous and packed with incredible detail
