Registration open for Valpo Parks youth fall baseball and softball leagues

Registration is open for Valpo Parks fall baseball and softball youth leagues. The leagues are open to children ages 7 to 12 years. The seven-game season for all leagues begins Monday, Aug. 29.

Fall Rookie Baseball is open to 7 to 8 year olds.  The coach begins as the pitcher and transitions to player pitch the first game. Teams will compete against Liberty Rec and other Valparaiso teams. Games will start at 5:15 p.m. on weekdays; Saturday times vary.  A single elimination weekend tournament will conclude the season.

Fall Minors and Majors Baseball is open to 9 to 12 year olds.  New players will be randomly drafted; returning players may remain on spring league team or be drafted. Teams will compete against Liberty Rec and other Valparaiso teams. Games will start at 5:15 p.m. on weekdays; Saturday times vary. A single elimination weekend tournament will conclude the season.

Fall Softball is open to 7 to 12 year olds.  New players will be randomly drafted; returning players may remain on spring league team or be drafted. Games will start at 5:15 p.m. on weekdays.

The cost for the youth leagues is $62 for residents/$74 for nonresidents.
