Ron Ranta, former Club Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s South Haven Club, is now the Club Director of the Duneland Club. Angie Barber served in Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Kidstop Before and After-School Childcare program is partnering with Ron as the Club’s Program Director.

As the Chesterton Club is still celebrating the grand opening of their new Duneland Boys & Girls Clubs, not only are they seeing changes to the facility, itself, but new faces of Club leadership! In May, Ron Ranta was named Club Director for the new Duneland Club. A veteran in our Boys & Girls Clubs organization, Ron Served as Club Director for the South Haven Club for eighteen years growing its membership, average daily attendance, and programs such as athletic leagues. Ron developed a talented pool of youth development professionals where his South Haven Program Director, Jason Kegebein, easily moved in the Club Director position at the South Haven Club when Ron transferred to Duneland.

Additionally, it is with great pleasure that Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County announces Angie Barber as the Duneland Club’s new Program Director. Angie has been with the organization for over two years working as a youth development professional in our organization’s Kidstop before and after-school childcare program, KidsCamp, and as the Administrative Assistant for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Administrative Office. Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement, Angie served as a Children’s Director for seven years overseeing programming and events for youth pre-K through high school.

“We are very happy with Ron and Angie, a dynamic team leading our new Duneland Club,” states Mark Jones, director of operations for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County. “Their experience and talent is bringing quality programming to our Chesterton community, and we look forward to sharing new and exciting programs with our membership, other youth, and their families as our Club in Chesterton grows and expands.”
