The princesses and prince take memorable photos with a young attendee at the first Cinderella Ball of this summer.

A royal gathering of princes and princesses has found its way back to Taltree Arboretum & Gardens. The Cinderella Ball II event will be held on Friday, Aug. 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the outdoor pavilion area.

The princess themed dance has made its return and will feature princesses and a prince and a horse-drawn carriage provided by the Carriage and Sleigh Association of Northwest Indiana again for photo opportunities. Light appetizers will be served as visitors will be able to share a dance and interact with the princesses.

Erich Swisher and his daughter, members of Taltree Arboretum & Gardens, attended the first ball this summer.

“She loved all of the princesses and enjoyed having her pictures taken with them,” Swisher said. “We had a nice time, a night she will always remember with her father.”

Kristin Lorenz, a visitor services associate at Taltree Arboretum & Gardens, was honored to be one of the princesses at the first ball where she took pictures and shared dances with the young attendees.

“The best experience was seeing and hearing the children’s reactions,” Lorenz said. “I especially loved seeing the expressions on their faces and how excited they were.”

Tickets are $10 for adult members, $5 for child members, $15 for adult non-members and $10 for child non-members. Advance ticket purchase is required.

Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is located at 71 North 500 West, in Valparaiso. For more information, visit www.taltree.org.
