Women are invited to practice some mindful self-care at a three-day retreat in the Indiana Dunes.

Dunes Learning Center’s inaugural “Divas of the Dunes Weekend” will kick off on Friday evening, Oct. 20. Guests will spend the weekend immersed in nature, enjoying activities ranging from challenging to indulgent. Night hiking, mandala making, and pajama yoga are just a few of the experiences awaiting workshop participants attending the three-day adventure. A variety of treats and treatments are also planned.

For 20 years, Dunes Learning Center has offered memorable, multi-day, immersion programs at the Center’s Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in Chesterton. “So many people asked why we didn’t offer the same opportunity for adults, that we thought, why not?” said Education Director Erin Croft.

Meals and shared lodging in Dunes Learning Center’s modern, heated cabins are included in the workshop price. Single-day and small-group options are available. Space is limited. You must be over the age of 21 to attend. Details and registration may be found at duneslearningcenter.org/adults.

One of 17 National Park Service education partners, Dunes Learning Center provides year-round, standards-based environmental education programs for learners of all ages — inspiring curiosity, scientific literacy, environmental stewardship and civic engagement. Located within Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, the campus occupies 63 acres of rolling woodland at the southern tip of Lake Michigan.
