PCACS is registered as a charitable organization at www.smile.amazon.com.

When you shop through this website, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5 percent of the purchase price of eligible purchases to PCACS.
AmazonSmile is a website, operated by Amazon, that lets you enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices and convenient shopping features that you find on www.Amazon.com.

On your first visit, you will be prompted to select a charitable organization to receive the donations. Then AmazonSmile will remember your selection and future eligible purchases you make on AmazonSmile will result in a donation to PCACS.

Remember, you need to log into www.smile.amazon.com and not www.amazon.com for the purchases to qualify.

Thank you!

A huge thanks to United Way of Porter County for showing our staff this year’s campaign video and spotlighting the many services provided by the United Way as well as the many agencies the agency supports. We also enjoyed the pizza for lunch.
We were grateful, once again, for the television sponsored by NIPSCO that made it possible to view the video on our new large screen instead of a laptop.

On a daily basis, our clients are enjoying watching our calming videos on the television as they wait to be cared for by our staff.

Our thanks to both the United Way and NIPSCO for their efforts to make Porter County a better place to be!

As the Medicare open enrollment period has ended, we want to thank our SHIP volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication during this busy time!
The State Health Insurance Assistance Program advisers are available year-round for any questions that may come up regarding Medicare benefits.

For more information, call 219-464-1028 and leave a message. A SHIP volunteer will return the message as soon as it is convenient.

Our Energy Assistance Program is already impacting the community this season.

This is an income-eligible program that helps seniors, individuals with disabilities and those who are struggling to pay their energy bills. When participants qualify for a determined amount, the payment is electronically paid to the appropriate energy company.

Those needing assistance will meet with our EAP team of staff and volunteers. Expected items to bring include: social security cards for all individuals in the household, proof of income for the last 12 months for everyone in the household that is over 18, the most current energy bill and a disconnect notice if there is one.

Additional documents and information may be needed. To schedule an appointment, call 219-464-9736 or visit www.portercountyacs.org/energy-assistance/ for more details.
