On Friday, Feb. 9 from 6:00 to 10:30 p.m., the Hobart Chamber of Commerce will hold the Business and Community Awards at the Hilton Garden Inn, 7775 Mississippi Street, Merrillville. This event will feature an array of awards including 2017 Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Mayor’s Choice Award, Policeman and Firefighter of the Year, Longevity Awards, and Outstanding Educator Awards for Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.
