Chesterton Feed and Garden Center, 400 Locust St. in Chesterton will be hosting a Miniature/Fairy Garden workshop featuring Fairy Gardening on Sunday, March 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Fairy experts will present a how-to demonstration featuring tips on mini houseplant care, as well as a brief history on origins of fairies and Fairy Gardening. This class will feature many outdoor themes, such as camping, beach fun and even miniature farms.  Following the demonstration, attendees will design and build their own gardens, selecting from the wide variety of miniature houses, arbors, decoration and fairies of all kinds. Potting soil and drainage material will be provided.

After selecting the accessories, attendees can begin putting them together. Refreshments will be served.

“Indoor gardening is great for families with little space in their yard,” said Chuck Roth, owner. “Even an outdoor Fairy Garden can fit in a very small corner of the garden, a perfect hideaway for Fairies. They can be easily redecorated with the changing seasons. “Tickets are $25 per person and must purchase in advance to reserve a space for the workshop. Ticket price goes toward your garden, purchased at the workshop. Tickets are available at Chesterton Feed and Garden Center or can be purchased by phone.
