Chesterton 5K run/walk to benefit Free The Girls

The MOMentum 5K run/walk will be held Saturday, May 12 at the Coffee Creek Watershed, 178 E. Sidewalk Rd. in Chesterton. The event begins at 9:00 a.m., with registration opening at 7:30 a.m.

The race is a benefit for Free The Girls, an organization which helps girls rescued from sex trafficking lead of life of true freedom.

The MOMentum includes a 5K run/walk, one-mile kids’ fun run, and one-mile moms’ stroller run/walk, all beginning at 9 a.m.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers. The event also features music, vendors, raffle, photographer, bounce house, face painting, and balloon artist.

Online registration is $34; race-day registration is $38.
