Enjoy an evening of live entertainment and movies at the Festival Park Revelli Bandshell, 111 E. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Every Thursday beginning at 7p.m. and goes to September 3. Portage Summer Music in the Park

Through collaboration between Portage Parks & Recreation, Portage Chamber of Commerce and Portage Live Entertainment, a 16-concert series of Summer Music in the Park will be presented each Tuesday night from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. through Aug. 28 at Woodland Park, 2100 Willowcreek Road in Portage.

All concerts will be held indoors at either the Sycamore Hall or Oakwood Grand Hall.  Concerts are free and open to the public.  Music ranges from 40s & 50s to rock & roll, swing, blues, contemporary and a Jimmy Buffet tribute, all featuring local talent.

The 2018 dates are June 5, 12, 19, and 26; July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31; and Aug. 7, 14, 21, and 28.

Portage Movies in the Park

The Portage Parks and Recreation Department will offer movies to the public at no charge at dusk (7:30 p.m.) at the Indiana American Water Amphitheater at Founders Square Park, 6300 Founders Square.

Movie dates are June 14, July 12, and Aug. 9. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Valparaiso Summer Rhapsody Music Festival

For all of the music lovers out there, come out and enjoy music under  the night sky at Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso. All concerts start at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free. Bring your picnic, your blanket or chairs, and of course, your music-loving family and friends, and come relax in the park with the sounds of the Summer Rhapsody Music Festival. Chesterton Summer Film and Concert Series  

The Westchester Public Library’s summer concert and family film series will be held at Thomas Centennial Park in downtown Chesterton on Fridays. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by a family-friendly film at dusk.

Bring the whole family, lawn chairs and a picnic dinner and join your neighbors for an old-fashion concert series featuring a variety of traditional music.  Each program is followed by a movie suitable for family viewing.  In the event of rain, the concerts and films will take place in the Library Service Center, 100 W. Indiana Ave, in Chesterton.

The concert and film series is partially funded by the Chesterton-Porter Rotary.  For more information, call 219-926-7696.
