‘Star Wars’ activities at library, showing of ‘The Last Jedi’

May the fourth be with you! Westchester Public Library will be celebrating Star Wars Day with activities at the Thomas, 200 W. Indiana Ave., in Chesterton and Hageman, 100 W. Francis St., in Porter at library branches on Friday, May 4. Stop by the Thomas Branch for trivia questions all day with a prize for the correct answer. From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. there will be Jedi bike decorating station for the little ones (up to 11 years old) outside the Thomas branch, and the Circulation Desk will have free popcorn.

The Hageman branch will have a Star Warsbook corner drop-in craft, a guess the silhouette contest for a prize, a display featuring all things Star Wars, and a Star Warsthemed snack.

There will be a presentation of the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi starting at 3:30 p.m., in the Baugher Center. Attendance is free of charge. The movie has a running time of 2 hours and 32 minutes and is rated PG 13.
