B&G Clubs receives United Way Partner Agency Award

At Lake Area United Way’s Partner Luncheon Award held at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana was honored with the United Way’s Agency Partner of the Year Award

honors a nonprofit partner that has gone above and beyond to help Lake Area United Way achieve our community goals. Whether it’s by helping us create opportunities for volunteer projects or helping connect us to community members in need, this organization is always willing to step up and give of their time to help United Way help the community,” said Brandi Adams, senior relationship manager for Lake Area United Way.

The award was given to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana for partnering continually with United Way, especially with the Real. Strong. Girls. Initiative with Lisa Patrick, chief programs officer for Boys & Girls Clubs, serving on the committee for this program. Additionally, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana was credited for partnering with United Way on the Safety Net Express and for continuing to provide volunteer opportunities for company partners looking to impact their communities through volunteer activities.

It is our privilege to work closely with Lake Area United Way, and to provide opportunities for community members who want to get involved to help others. Also, we are very pleased to be part of the Real. Strong. Girls. Initiative. This program has made a difference in the lives of many of our female Club members. We are a proud partner of Lake Area United Way.” said Ryan Smiley, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana.
