Recognized internationally as the original Chicago/Northwest Indiana “Garage Rock” band of the 60′s era, “Oscar and the Majestics” has shared the stage with legendary Chuck Berry, The Temptations, and The Dells, among others. “Rock ‘n’ roll is something that just stays with you. It never goes away and it certainly hasn’t for us,” notes Gary-born Oscar Hamod, guitarist, lead vocalist, songwriter, and namesake of the four-member band.  Also in the band, Walt Jachimczak, on drums; Mike Dahlgren, bass guitar and vocals; and, Julie Jachimczak, on keyboard, percussion, and backing vocals. Today the band’s impressive set list includes their own hits, such as “Jackie, Jackie” and “Come On Willie,” as well as rave-review covers of a variety of classics, from 60′s rock, through 70′s, 80′s, 90′s, and into the 2000′s songs.  Moreover, the band’s large repertoire includes the music of The Rolling Stones, The Temptations, The Beatles, The Who, Santana, The Eagles, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Buffet, Steve Miller, as well as some blues and country rock.

In addition to enjoying great musical entertainment, concert-goers may purchase food and drink provided by Clancy’s, and a cash bar will also be on the premises. Adding even more to the fun, there’s plenty of dance-floor room for young and old to show off their moves.
