The Obstetric and Gynecological Associates’ annual MOMentum 5K will be held May 11 at 9:00 a.m. at Coffee Creek Watershed, 178 E. Sidewalk Road, Chesterton.

This year’s event will benefit Emma’s Footprints, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families that have babies in the neonatal intensive care unit and families who have experienced the loss of a baby from pregnancy through infancy.

Amelia Kowalisyn, founder of Emma’s Footprints, is excited to be included in this year’s race.

“We are so honored that they chose our organization as this year’s beneficiary,” said Kowalisyn. “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there and are extremely thankful for the generosity of the runners, sponsors and all of the hard work that has gone into this event.”

The event features a 5K run and walk, a one-mile kids’ fun run and a one-mile moms’ stroller run and walk.

The MOMentum 5K is a family-friendly event. Music, vendors and a photographer will be at the event. A bounce house, balloon artist and face painter will be available for children after the race.

Awards will be given to the first place male and female finishers of the 5K.

Race day registration is $38. Early registration for the event is $34. Early registration can be done athttps://runsignup.com/Race/IN/Chesterton/MOMentum5KRun.
