Hospice offering teen counseling sessions

Hospice of the Calumet Area’s Healing Hearts for Teens program provides counseling through a bereavement support group for teens who have experienced a loss of a loved one, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the death.

Teens need to know that they are not alone at this most difficult time in their lives. Healing Hearts for Teens offers, at no cost, helpful information, support, and a comfortable atmosphere for sharing feelings and experiences, struggles and triumphs.

The upcoming teen workshop series (ages 13-17) will be held on Monday evenings from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at Hospice of the Calumet Area offices at 600 Superior Ave. in, Munster, Upcoming meeting dates are Sept. 9 and 23, and Oct. 7, 21, and 28.,

Topics include: Getting to Know You and Your Loved One, Dealing with Feelings, Understanding My Feelings, Remembering, Coping with Change and Moving On.
