The 2019 Westville Pumpkin Festival kicks off on Friday, Oct. 4 with the crowning of festival royalty, along with a teen dance, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 6, concluding with the Tri Kappa gift basket raffle drawing.
The weekend includes vendors, games, a parade, 5K run/walk, bingo and antique tractor pull, along with such seasonal favorites as pumpkin decorating and the pumpkin bake-off.
Festival foods include pumpkin-baked goods, a variety of food vendors, and a fish dinner on Friday. Saturday is the pork chop dinner and Sunday starts off with a pancake breakfast. There is fun for the younger crowd with the kid’s fun run or hula hoop or jump rope contest. Also scheduled is a 3-on-3 hoops basketball event on Sunday.
Pumpkin Palooza is back, featuring live music from Junior and the Igniters, along with adult beverages. New this year are Westville’s Got Talent Variety Show and Sound Bites Karaoke Contest. Both feature free admission and all ages are welcome to participate and help choose the winners.
