Gabis Arboretum at PNW announces fall programs

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest’s fall programs are now available online at pnw.edu/gabis-arboretum. The programs cover a variety of nature, health and recreation topics geared toward adults, children and families.

Hikes

Fall Prairie Walk

Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

You’ll be hard pressed to find someone as passionate about prairies than a naturalist at the Gabis Arboretum! Join         him to learn about prairie plants and how to identify them. Participation is free. Registration is encouraged. Arboretum admission fees apply.

Fall Star Gazing

Kick off the fall season with your friends at the Star Gazing on Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This event is Free. Join Purdue Northwest Astronomers at Gabis Arboretum for an evening of stargazing and planet viewing. Admission is free and registration is encouraged!

Woodland Tree Trek

Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Talk a walk through the woodlands and learn about the diversity of trees growing at the arboretum. Participation is free. Registration is encouraged. Arboretum admission fees apply.
