Ready for a hayride this fall? Northwest Indiana offers plenty of opportunities for a hair-full of straw and fun times 

Elzinga Farm, Dyer – hayrides now through Oct. 30; Mondays through Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays until 7:00 p.m.; features include haunted house; corn maze, Indian corn, mums, specialty pumpkins; apples honey, baked goods; and fall décor; 219-865-1181 call for prices. 

Kregel’s Pumpkin Patch, Lowell – open Sept. 25 thru Oct. 30; featuring market, corn maze, rat rollers, petting zoo, Hayrides to Pumpkin Patch, barrel train, and pedal cars; Pumpkin Peak Slide and Pumpkin Sling Shot on weekends; general admission, Mondays through Thursdays, adults $7; children $9, Fridays through Sunday, adults $9; children $11; 219-690-1503.
