19th Annual Elvis FANtasy Fest Celebrating Elvis’ homecoming from his army service

This year’s Elvis FANtasy Fest will take place Oct. 8-10, at Woodland Park Community Center, located at 2100 Willowcreek Road in Portage, and will feature food, Elvis vendors and dancing. The first Elvis FANtasy fest was held in 1992 and every event is sponsored by the Taking Care of Presley Memorial Benefit Committee. The groups’ mission is to perpetuate a fund for charity in remembrance of Elvis Presley and his music legacy. Their goals for the fundraising is to emmulate Elvis’ own humanitarianism, and give to others in need.

Proceeds from the event are donated to Special Olympics for scholarships for needy athletes and the funds are used to expand their programs. The event is organized by an all volunteer committee and we wish to thank the Special Olympic parents, athletes, fans, tribute artists and all those who have donated of their time, talents and monies to the success of the event. As of 2009, the Elvis FANtasy Fest has given over $250,000 to charities in remembrance of the greatest entertainer of all time, Elvis Presley.
