Building homes in Northwest Indiana for the past 33 years, Steiner Homes continues to set the bar high while designing homes that are distinctive in appearance, and comfortable to the family. Features that are unique to Steiner Homes include front elevations that are rich in character, an original interior trim package and an “open-concept” flow and feel to their floor plans.
“I’ve been building homes for over three decades and I love what I do, because I’m on-sight almost daily,” President Dan Steiner said. “I am building just the right amount of homes, so that I can work with each buyer individually. We will customize and design homes for people at no extra cost.”

Steiner Homes offers in-house design work, with Residential Designer Adam Steiner and Director of Sales David Gring working closely with each customer to configure their home. The company promotes their own floor plans, and welcomes custom plans provided by the homeowner.
Home prices featured on the Web site range from $198,000 to over $350,000, not including the lot. Steiner Homes will build on a lot provided by the customer, or they can assist the future homeowner in finding a lot to build on. From the initial dig, the company has been averaging five months to complete the project.

Steiner Homes has a unique feature to the sales process in that they can carry the construction loan for their customers. Future homeowners can concentrate on securing their end-loan through their own bank, or through one recommended by Steiner Homes.
This past week, mortgage rates for a fixed 30-year conventional loan were at 4.25 percent. Interest rates continue to drop to historical levels, and future homeowners are able to get a lot of “bank for their buck.”

When you consider developers wanting to sell lots, interest rates at unprecedented numbers and building costs down, it is a special time to consider building.
On Saturday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 10, Steiner Homes will be participating in the Fall Showcase of Homes, with two new homes open to the public. The Gretchen floor plan will be on display in the Pine Hill subdivision at 163 W. 126th Ave. in Crown Point. The Alicia floor plan will be featured in the Ellendale Farm subdivision at 1115 Allison St. in Crown Point.

Both homes will be open to the public for a walk-through from 12-4 p.m. For more information, contact David Gring at 219-916-3744, or visit Steiner Homes’ Web site at HYPERLINK “” Here you will find over 40 floor plans, pricing for each plan, pictures and developments where the company can build.
