Health Screening

Beginner’s Oil Painting

At the Hebron Library, 201 West Sigler Street, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Paint a light house scene in two evenings. Cost is $55, which includes instruction & all painting supplies. No experience required.

Mother Goose on the Loose

Green Days Recycling

The city of Valparaiso and Porter County Recycling and Waste Reduction District sponsor a “Green Days” recycling event from noon to 5 p.m. on Aug. 19 and from 8 a.m. until noon at Butterfield Pavilion at Fairgrounds Park. Discarded electronics and plastic shopping bags among items to be accepted.
