Kelsey’s dethrones Town & Country in Portage cook-off

This year, Kelsey’s Steakhouse of Portage won the 1st Place Traveling Trophy for the Commercial Division of the annual Seafood Cook-Off Contest at the Portage Perch Fest.

Portage Town & Country has taken the trophy the last two years with their Lemon-Pepper Perch, but guest judges, Carlos Rivero, Eloise Valadez, John Simiakos and Dennis Miles chose Kelsey’s entry, Grilled Sea Bass with Mango Salsa as this year’s winner of the coveted prize.

The winning entry for the Individual Division was homemade Crab Cakes entered by Cynthia Greene of Portage. There were a total of 6 commercial entries and 4 individual entries this year.
