Methodist Hospitals announce new board member

The Methodist Hospitals announced Fran Taylor as a new officer for its 2011-2012 Board of Directors, at its latest board meeting.

Fran’s association with The Methodist Hospitals are extensive. She served in positions of increasing responsibility over a 35-year time period including Vice President of Human Resources and Nursing. Fran Taylor said, “During my tenure, I felt inspired and challenged by the local, regional and national events, which regularly impacted our ability to meet the needs of our patients, employees, physicians, and diverse service communities. Although difficult at times, I felt a sense of pride in being able to contribute to the mission, vision, and values for which Methodist has long been known.”

Since her retirement, Fran has remained active in community service. She has continued for 20 years her association with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana which, where she served as board chair 2000-2001. She currently serves on numerous committees. She is active member of St. Timothy Community Church, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and a retired member of The Northern Indiana Links, Inc.

The next years will continue to be exciting ones at Methodist as we continue to invest in the health system for the benefit of our patients”, said Ian McFadden, CEO. “Fran Taylor has a longstanding relationship with Methodist. Her background and experience will be a great asset to our Board of Directors” said McFadden.
