Avalon Springs hosts Caregiver’s Day Off Program

Caring for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease can be overwhelming, exhausting and stressful.  If you are caring for a loved one who has Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia, having the tools you need to cope is more than a luxury; it’s a necessity.

Avalon Springs Health Campus, 2400 Silhavy Rd., is hosting a special program for in-home caregivers on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Legacy neighborhood.

The Caregiver’s Day Off program will include a free lunch, Caregiver Survival Kit, complimentary beauty and pampering services as well as a special educational presentation from Home Instead Senior Care and Beth Bertram, Legacy neighborhood director, all while your loved one enjoys complimentary adult day care during the event.  Each participant will receive a take-home meal for the whole family.
