Harbour Trust congratulates its trust officer for newspaper award

Harbour Trust & Investment Management Company congratulates its own Nathan Cobbs for being honored in The Times of Northwest Indiana’s 2019 “20 Under 40” class.

This award is presented to young professionals who impact their community and have become key business leaders contributing to the development and growth of Northwest Indiana. The individuals selected demonstrate outstanding leadership, success in their field and show a personal commitment to community service.

Cobbs is a trust officer at Harbour Trust with 17 years of experience in the financial services industry. He graduated from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management in 2003. Prior to joining Harbour Trust in 2012, he was an Investment Advisor, Investment Portfolio Manager and Trust Officer. His entire career has been dedicated to advising and helping clients plan for their future and to achieve their financial goals. His love of investments began as a teenager, when at 16 he bought his first stock.

Cobbs is president of the Chesterton Town Council, member of the Chesterton Plan Commission and serves on the board of directors for Jacob’s Ladder Pediatric Rehab. He has served Rotary for over a decade and is currently assistant district governor within this region and is also past president of the Chesterton-Porter Rotary Club. He was a finance committee member and director for the Purdue Alumni Association for many years.

Additionally,Cobbs and his wife, Karen, are co-authors of “Rosie Posie has Super Senses” and founded Rosie Posie Books to assist children and families with special needs. Their cheerful picture book is based on his daughter’s sensory extremes with autism during the early years and provides coping techniques to improve quality of life.
