Mayor-Elect Sue Lynch (D-Portage) has announced appointments within city departments and various boards and commissions. According to Lynch, a majority of department head appointments will include holdovers from previous administrations.
“I’m proud to announce the team that will help me lead this city through difficult financial times and ensure that our city services are second to none,” Lynch said. “I believe that a leader is only as good as those he or she surrounds themselves with. With today’s appointments, we have put together a team that will put Portage back on the right track.”
The following individuals will serve the positions listed below:
Mike Candiano – Chief of Police
Tim Sosby – Fire Chief
Dan Whitten/Whitten & Whitten – City Attorney
Randy Reeder – Superintendent of Streets and Sanitation
Lori Wilkie – Superintendent of Parks and Recreation
Don Slawnikowski – Sanitary Plant Superintendent
Dave Littleton – Field Forces Superintendent
Doug Sweeney – Building Commissioner
Norma Laboy – Executive Assistant to the Mayor
Additionally, the Mayor-Elect will appoint the following individuals to serve on the board and commissions listed below:
Dr. Shaunna Finley, Jamie Lewis, Steve Sonaty, & Scott Williams – Board of Public Works and Safety
Greg Lach & Nedal Nabhan – Redevelopment Commission
Dominic Bonta & Pat Newell – Stormwater Board
