Huber’s Marine hosting annual boat show on two weekends

In the market for a new boat? How about boating parts or accessories?

Huber’s Marine in LaPorte is hosting the Lund-sponsored Boat Show Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 6-8 and March 12-14. Hours on both occasions are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

According to Jordan Jeffers, administrative assistant and rental coordinator for Huber’s, the annual boat show is a “good way to jump-start the boating season and get an idea of what prices will be for the summer.”

Jeffers added that Huber’s “takes care of our customers with outside boating or service stock.”

The show also affords customers their first look at 2020 models, Jeffers said, adding, “We have some really good deals on 2019 models in stock.”

The boat show also features free food, children’s activities, prize giveaways, incentives to buy, and rebates up to $2,000.

Huber’s Marine is a leading provider of Lund, Bennington, Sweetwater, Aqua Patio, Sanpan, and Hurricane boats. A full-service dealership, Huber’s offers sales, parts, accessories, service, storage, and winterizing, with typically at least 25 models of boats in its showroom, Jeffers noted.

In business since 1984, Huber’s attracts clientele from Chicago and Porter County.

“People may think they want a boat,” Jeffers explained. “Here they see what they can manage and talk to someone who knows about boats.”

After Ray Huber and his eldest son Terry received their first load of boats in 1984, the business moved to its current location in 1988, filling a 10,000-square-foot showroom with boats, parts, and accessories.

The Huber’s Marine service department sits on six acres of fenced-in land with a 6,000-square-foot service building and 15,000-square-foot storage building.

Huber’s Marine is located at 1207 Pine Lave Avenue in LaPorte. Parking and admission to the boat show are free. Regular store hours are Tuesdays through Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information, call 219-362-2605 or visit
