On the move: Making the most of the New Year

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly time flies. No sooner have we finished celebrating New Year’s, than we’re preparing for the wearin’ of the green!  Before we find ourselves singing Auld Lang Syne to 2020, let’s make the most of what this year has to offer. Here are three tips for doing just that:

  1. Embrace the Rodent. You may have heard the news that 2020 is “The Year of the Rat.” In Chinese Astrology, the rat symbolizes new beginnings and renewal, so consider polishing up your resumé to start a job hunt; asking for a promotion; giving your basement a good purging; or embarking on a spa vacation to capitalize on 2020’s refreshing “Year of the Rat” energies.
  2. Focus On Your Foundation. In Numerology the numbers in the year 2020, added together (2 + 0 + 2 + 0), make this a ‘4’ year.Numerology.Com reports that the number four is all about stability, responsibility, and getting finances in order to build a strong foundation. According to Numerology.Com, a ‘4’ year can help provide a sense of balance and calm, as well as a stronger focus on the things that really matter – which, in turn, can provide a powerful tail wind to fuel big dreams. Now is the time to start harnessing those ‘4’ energies!
  3. Take A Leap. It’s leap year, and as long as we’re talking about new beginnings and tail winds, I’d like to encourage you to take this whole Leap Year thing to the next level.  I hope you’ll take some metaphorical leaps in this new year.

Taking advantage of all of the “good vibes” around the “Year of the Rat” and the “Year of 4” can provide a solid foundation from which to springboard on to something greater. Here’s to moving forward with greater courage, faith and gusto in every aspect of your life as this new decade kicks off in 2020!

I wish you a Happy “Do” Year!
