Arboretum’s Railway Garden again open to public

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest’s Railway Garden is again open to the public.

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest is welcoming guests back to the Railway Garden effective Aug. 8.

The arboretum is continuing to reopen after temporarily closing from mid-March to early May amid the coronavirus since May, the award-winning Railway Garden exhibit remained closed.

Guests are now able to visit the exhibit on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. through Oct. 31, when the exhibit closes for the season.

Free timed entry tickets are required for the Railway Garden and must be reserved online. Tickets are available every 30 minutes and are limited to 25 guests per time slot.

All guests are subject to admission fees to the arboretum of $10 per carload and free for arboretum members. Non-members are asked to purchase their $10 admission ticket online before arriving.

Facilities remain closed and portable restrooms are available. All guests must maintain social distancing from arboretum employees and other guests not in their immediate household.
