VALPARAISO

Acorn Concert Series

Gabis Arboretum holds a variety of outdoor summer concerts covering a wide range of musical genres.

The Acorn Concert Series is back for 2021. This summer, enjoy family-friendly evenings at Gabis Arboretum while listening to a variety of musical artists, sipping craft beer and wine and savoring food from local vendors. Don’t forget your lawn chair!

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Opener starts at 6:00 p.m. Headliner starts at 7:30 p.m., Free to children 12-under.

Ticket Prices: Members: $15 for individual concert; $50 for series ticket.  Non-Members: $15 advance purchase and $20 week of purchase for individual concert; $55 for series ticket.

Northwest Health Amphitheater

Discover a new favorite band or come back for a favorite as the Summer Concert Series features artists of all musical styles. Bring your picnic or plan to have carry out from a local restaurant, bring your blanket or chairs to enjoy the FREE concerts in the park.

Concerts will be held Thursdays, July 15 through Aug. 26, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Northwest Health Amphitheater in Central Park Plaza, 70 Lafayette Street, Valparaiso.

CHESTERTON

The Chesterton Amphitheater at Coffee Creek

The Chesterton Amphitheater was created in response to the natural contour of the land.   The setting is reminiscent of the traditional European open civic areas, most often used for theatrical events.   

Sponsored by Residences at Coffee Creek, the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy, Inc. concert series takes place on three dates at the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve amphitheater, 2401 Village Point, Chesterton. 

The free concert includes a complimentary cup of coffee from Red Cup Café & Deli.

Revelli Bandshell in Festival Park

Every Thursday, Festival Park is the home of the Hobart Summer Market on the Lake from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; followed by Concerts in the Park and Movies in the Park.

This year, Concerts in the Park will offer a variety of entertainers including children’s entertainment, jazz, country and rock-&-roll. Enjoy quality food vendors, beer garden, and a children’s craft & play area along the beautiful lakefront of Lake George. Concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Revelli Bandshell in Festival Park.

PORTAGE

 Summer Music Series at Woodland Park

The Portage Summer Music Series kicked off its 2021 season with free Tuesday evening concerts at Portage’s Woodland Park Oakwood Hall at 2100 Willowcreek Road.  

All Tuesday night concerts will be held indoors. Seating, as well as concessions and a cash bar are provided. Open to the public, these concerts feature music ranging from ‘40s and ‘50s to rock-and-roll, swing, blues, contemporary and a Jimmy Buffet tribute, all featuring local talent. Come and Dance! A car show will also be featured at Woodland Park before and during all Tuesday concerts.

 Donations of nonperishable food, personal items or paper products for the Portage Food Pantry and Gabriel’s Horn Homeless Shelter will be welcomed at the concerts but are not required.
